We're a social enterprise partnering with Xiaohusai, an impoverished tea-farming village in Yunnan province. This initiative began in 2016, and is currently led by a small group of high school students in Shanghai.
We source organic Pu'er and black tea straight from the plantations of Xiaohusai's tea farmers. We then repackage, redesign, and redistribute the tea in Shanghai. All of our proceeds go into a scholarship fund established for the children of Xiaohusai. As of 2018, we have enabled 4 children to continue going to school every day by raising over 5,000 USD.
We were invited to attend WeWork's Creator Awards Shanghai in April 2018. We've also won the EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools) Global Citizenship Community Grant for two years in a row. Most recently, we were invited as guest speakers to Shanghai's annual World Youth Economic Forum.
We regularly attend events around Shanghai like Commune Market and Jiashan Market. We also visit Xiaohusai (the village) every year.
